A portfolio shows what a designer made. Our interviews try to hear how they think: how they frame a problem, how they take feedback, and how they explain a decision to someone who disagrees.
We ask every candidate to walk us through one project they would do differently now. The answer tells us more than any polished case study, and it is the question candidates most often thank us for.
